Un video grabado por una cámara de seguridad de un automóvil captó el momento exacto en que un grupo de personas, aparentemente de origen latino, intentan realizar una estafa de tipo montachoques en una carretera de Estados Unidos, pero su fraude se vio frustrado al notar que el vehículo contra el que actuaban tenía una cámara, por lo que huyeron del lugar de los hechos.
En el material compartido en la cuenta @ashpianastasha4 de TikTok se observa el momento en que una conductora se encuentra hablando con su pareja a través del manos libres de su vehículo cuando repentinamente un automóvil Honda que viajaba en el carril central se incorpora al izquierdo, por donde circulaba la víctima, y frena intempestivamente.
Debido a la velocidad con la que frena, el automóvil de la víctima alcanza a impactar el vehículo de los estafadores, pero muy ligeramente, sin provocar ningún daño visible, por lo que en ese momento el conductor del auto de los montachoques se echa en reversa y provoca un segundo impacto mucho más fuerte.
Al notar la cámara cambió su expresión
Dos mujeres salen del vehículo fingiendo sorpresa e inmediatamente comienzan a tomar fotografías al vehículo de la víctima. Después sale un hombre del automóvil chocado y al acercarse al de la víctima se percata de la presencia de la cámara, por lo que inmediatamente cambia la expresión de su rostro. Un cuarto ocupante del vehículo, quien era la persona que conducía, sale del vehículo sigilosamente y aborda otro automóvil, huyendo de la escena.
De acuerdo con el relato de la víctima inicialmente pensó que había sido un incidente de “furia de carretera”, pero al verlos salir del auto aparentemente asustados, creyó que realmente había sido un accidente. El hombre que permaneció en la escena le dijo a la víctima que la conductora era su esposa, pero que no hablaba inglés y llamaron a la Policía. Sin embargo, los oficiales les dijeron que si todos estaban a salvo y dispuestos a intercambiar datos de sus seguros, no podían intervenir.
Montachoques huyeron, pero ya fueron denunciados
Los montachoques insistieron que debían irse porque tenían que recoger a un bebé y huyeron. Fue hasta que la víctima revisó el video en su casa que se dio cuenta de que había sido víctima de un intento de estafa, por lo que fueron a la comisaría a denunciar por “choque y huída”.
“Le mostramos el video a la policía y ella definitivamente se sorprendió porque dijo que no había visto nunca algo así”, explicó la mujer, quien agregó que presentarán cargos, aunque se han enfrentado al obstáculo de que debían esperar al seguro en el lugar.

The silver Honda (LBB 8917) was in the middle lane, and they cut me off and slammed on the brakes coming to a full stop hoping I would hit them. I did not hit their car and because of that they reversed into my car for collision and acted as if they were injured while coming out of their vehicle. I believe the intention was to say I hit their car for insurance fraud purposes. They had a tarp covering the rear windshield which fell off once they hit my car. You can see the driver is a male wearing a hat and you can see him switching to the passenger seat as well as the movement of the car before anyone gets out. The first three passengers exit the car pretending to be hurt, while the fourth passenger who was driving slips out through the passenger seat and gets into a second vehicle. That second vehicle was a red KIA SUV (KJH 3340) which was following me from behind and keeping distance so they wouldn't slam into me. The red KIA drove around and picked up the driver to get away. The remaining three people’s demeanor changed once one of them noticed the dashcam. They only came out of the car with their phones ready to record the damage to both cars. They were quick to ask for my insurance and quickly left after the exchange. I called the police at the time of the incident and reported it as an accident, and the police told me they no longer go to an accident if no one is injured and they are willing to exchange information.
